This beautiful American Walnut piano is being sold because the owner must downsize for moving. She has loved and played this instrument for more than 60 years, and has asked Life Changes to help her find a new home for it, where it will be useful, appreciated, and yes, loved.
A console piano is not as tall as an upright grand, so it fits more easily into most decorating schemes. It’s an attractive piece of furniture, too, and comes with a matching standard piano bench.
The Everett Piano Company is one of the oldest and most respected piano manufacturers in the USA. They began producing high quality pianos in Boston in 1883. The firm moved its facilities to South Haven, Michigan, on the shores of Lake Michigan, in 1926. They have most recently been a part of the Yamaha Corporation, another company known for finely made instruments.
The keyboard, pedals, hammers, leathers, and felts are all in fine shape, and you can see from the piano technicians’ notes inside that it has been lovingly maintained over the years.
I could see no damage whatsoever to the walnut exterior. There is nice carved detailing on the legs and the music stand, and the finish is in excellent shape.
The owner’s mother bought it for her in 1951, and she has played it regularly until an injury to her hand forced her to stop several years ago.

We have a new client who needs to downsize for moving, and she asked us to find new homes for her beloved musical instruments.
Her solid silver Haynes flute was hand crafted in 1951 by the Wm. S. Haynes Company in Boston, Massachusetts.
It has been well-maintained and taken care of over the years, and was played regularly until she injured her hand several years ago.
Only a short time before her injury, she had the pads replaced. So even though they are slightly discolored, they are in great shape.
Haynes is one of the most popular flutes in the world for professional musicians and discriminating amateurs. This flute is the closed-hole style, and will be easier for small hands than the open hole style.
In addition to the standard leather flute case, there is also a zippered, canvas “travel case” that protects the leather hard case.
The serial number is 21480. More information on Haynes flutes may be found on their website – www.wmshaynes.com.
Please make an appointment to see this instrument by calling Donna at 512-847-1645.
This is not your typical, heavy wood, made in Mexico pine hutch. This was purchased in the 80’s from a high end dealer before the casual Ranch look was popular. It is 2 pieces, the top is approximately 8” wide x 46 inches tall and is 5 ft long, the expanse of the bottom piece and sit nicely on top. There are tracks carved out so plates can stand up without other aid. The bottom or base is 19inches wide by 3 ft tall and 5 ft long. I have put shelving in the bottom as you can see in the pictures for expanded storage. The total height is about 7 ft.
It is being offered for sale at our consignment store. Life Changes Estate Sales & Consignments is located in Jean’s Antique Mall. The address is 11552 Ranch Road 12 which is South of Wimberley Square about a mile down Ranch Road 12.
Jean’s Antiques hours are Monday – Saturday 10:00 am – 5:30 pm ♦ Sunday 12:00 pm – 5:30 pm
